Harrisville Design's 100% wool yarn is spun at the historic woolen mill in Harrisville, New Hampshire, from a combination of Merino Cross wool from New Zealand and a softer wool from Australia. The fleece is dyed-in-the -wool for the brightest and truest colors. The bold colors are spun into vivid solid colored yarn or carded and spun together to create extraordinary heathers. With 1800 yards per pound, Harrisville's Shetland style yarn is great for countless weaving and knitting projects, including light weight blankets and shetland style sweaters. It's a great pattern weft for overshot coverlets. Use it with our Homestead Cotton (item 152) or our 10/2 Pearl Cotton (item 84).
